Shinri is a warm, fatherly person. He often acts as Tempus' voice of reason and is considered by his guildmates as one of the most reliable members of the group.

He's very interested in horror games, specially indie ones, and in discovering their lore. Whenever he plays horror games, he likes to admire the monsters and sometimes flirt with them, to the bewilderment of his guildmates. He doesn't get scared by horror games and considers them a source of comfort, although he sometimes can get startled and let out loud gasps.

His usual composure can be easily broken by funny moments, in which case Shinri unleashes a powerful wheeze.

Shinri applied multiple times to HOLOSTARS before being selected. He initially tried to script his audition video, but felt this approach lacked authenticity.

On 2 January 2023, the hololive production English Twitter account teased an announcement for TEMPUS along with a very short video.

Shinri made his first tweet on this date and a small teaser video was uploaded on his YouTube channel. This one arrow shall be payback for 'Dragon Gate's Leap.' A ronin who is part of Adventurer's Guild TEMPUS. Has the appearance of a wandering samurai, but was widely renowned as a master of the longbow. So famed was his prowess, they would say he could use anything as an arrow and yet never fail to hit his mark.

He went into isolation for a while, lamenting the futility of war, but took up his bow and arrow once again after witnessing the young men fighting a pack of Corruption Beasts.
