Shindouji Ako was a Japanese VTuber from VEE’s Dev-b group who debuted on YouTube in July 2022 and later graduated. She streamed in Japanese, mainly gaming and free-talk, and called her fans Kenkyuuin.

Shindouji Ako (しんどうじあこ) was a female Japanese Virtual YouTuber and a member of the Japanese Virtual YouTuber agency VEE. She joined VEE's 2nd group Dev-b, along with Audrey Mina, Oshiro Ito, Sazanami Toa, Hiyori Chihiyo, and Mew Garcia.

[Experimental subject: γ5]

A fifth generation homunculus created from the cells of [Experiment Body: γ].

Because the researcher's handwriting was rough, the AI misread "γ5" and registered the label as "丫子".

Even after it was corrected, it is still called 丫子 as a nickname among the researchers.

When the institute was sealed off and all the homunculus were decided to be destroyed, she was let go from the researchers and ended up living her current life.

In order to resist the world that stopped her research, she began streaming.

On 3 July, Ako made her debut.

Retirement

On 12 August 2022, the VEE official website announced that Ako would be retiring a mere month after debuting, citing continuing health problems as the cause. VEE also stated that all of her social media would remain active even after her retirement.
