Prior to becoming a VTuber, Rei worked in a variety of roles, including a bakery, an assistant director role in television, and VTuber support staff. During this difficult period, she was inspired by a March 2024 music video for the anime's second opening song, "Sunny" by Yorushika, whose director had dedicated it to "those whose dreams didn't come true." I'm Yubari Rei, Café Laid-Back's newest manager! ☕🪡✨ I'm here to create a little moment of peace for hardworking grown-ups. My dream is to establish Yubari Rei Centers all across Japan and the world, where people can spend relaxing moments, and to support the VTuber community as a whole.
