Yugo Asuma

Yugo is an energetic, headstrong man with an intense zest for life. He is very affectionate towards his fans, frequently giving out hugs and kisses over Twitter. He is a frequent target for pranks by his debut-mates and has a standing rivalry with his video editor, but he is also quick to demonstrate that all of this is in good fun. While he has little shame around unseiso topics for the most part, he does get flustered when his debut-mates flirt with each other in front of him.

He has sharp, dark blue hair with light blue highlights underneath and light blue eyes and a silver lightning bolt shaped earring.

On 18 June 2021, NIJISANJI EN opened two sets of auditions, one of which was specifically for male Livers. The male-specific auditions lasted until 1 August.

On 22 February 2022, NIJISANJI EN announced the upcoming debut of its fifth wave, "Noctyx", accompanied by a teaser featuring the new Livers' designs and voices.

Yugo's YouTube channel was created on 7 February 2022, and his Twitter account also created in the same month. His first tweet was made on 22 February 2021.

Noctyx made their debuts on 27 February 2022 (JST) as part of a special debut program hosted on the NIJISANJI EN channel, with commentary provided by Reimu Endou and Ike Eveland. Yugo was set to be the last member to debut, but due to technical difficulties he was unable to hold his debut stream as planned. Afterwards, all five members of Noctyx appeared on the main channel.

An original song sung by Noctyx, "Stuck in The Abyss", was released shortly after the debut program. The lyrics and music were by MATZ and BBY NABE, and the song was produced by the former.

Yugo gives "My Dress-Up Darling" as an example. This led to confusion and amusement among English-speaking fans; "bitch" in English has a variety of uses, most of which are derogatory and used to indicate that someone is unpleasant. "Bitch" in regular Japanese use is still derogatory but specifically refers to promiscuous women; it is not a general purpose insult. * Video games that Yugo likes include: Devil May Cry series, Kingdom Hearts series, Final Fantasy series, Nier series, Genshin Impact, and Life Is Strange. He used "Devil May Cry" as a reference to learn how to talk back to bullies in international school. Yugo also used to play "Tsum Tsum". * Yugo hates "pien face", which is the Japanese name for the Pleading Face emoticon and a popular Japanese meme. * Yugo is a dog person, despite having a slight allergy. He used to have a Miniature Pinscher, who he believes still watches over him after her death. * His favorite season is autumn.

• Yugo shares his character designer with Ibrahim from the main NIJISANJI branch, as well as Lucien Lunaris from FIRST STAGE PRODUCTION EN and Ayami Yura from YUMENOS. * As seen in Yugo's lore video, his headphones help to maintain his mental stability. * The androids that confront Yugo in his lore video are similar in appearance to Fulgur Ovid (e.g., similar eye markings, same limbs, same neck collar). * Ike Eveland, Sonny Brisko, Alban Knox, Nina Kosaka, and Petra Gurin all have speaking roles in Yugo's lore video. * In his debut stream, Yugo mistyped the month in his birthday as "July" instead of "June".
