Yuuki Sakuna

Sakuna is a bumbling airhead who somehow manages to become the victim of every joke in which she gets involved. She is also childish and prone to throwing tantrums, smashing her keyboard, and hyperventilating when things don't go as planned (which is most of the time).

She enjoys playing pranks and causing mischief, but it almost always backfires because of a combination of poor planning and bad luck. To make matters worse, Sakuna makes no attempt to avoid embarrassing situations to the point at which many wonder if she might actually be masochistic. It would not be surprising if she were to ask others to bully her.

However, while Sakuna appears to be an incompetent crybaby, she is deceptively skilled at highly technical video games like Sekiro, Dark Souls, Apex Legends (Master rank),and League of Legends (Diamond rank). She is also a prolific streamer.

According to others, Sakuna is kind and responsible but extremely introverted while off-camera, only opening up while streaming.

She is a virtual maid who wears a cat-themed maid uniform and a white mob cap decorated with a pink paw print that has also been described as a "tissue box."

She has pink hair, with twin ponytails at her sides decorated with light-blue bows and long hair in back. The bows are stylized with ghost cats with hearts. She also has cat ears with white tufts and an ahoge.

She wears two large braids, with the two small braids on each side of her bangs. She has two black hair pins that resemble fish as a play on her name Sakuna, another that is a white wing, another that is a half red half blue heart, and a black set of bandaids that form an X shape. Her necklace features the shape of a cat head.

She wears a high-waisted corset pleat skirt that extends to directly beneath her bust, styled with two bows, one maroon and the other light blue. She wears a heart shaped belt.

Sakuna's YouTube channel was created 9 April 2022. A YouTube video drawing a cat was posted on the same day. Her Twitter account was created in the same month.

Posts to her Fanbox patrons also date back to 9 April 2022, making a "long time no see" post on 19 March 2024. On 31 August 2024 she cryptically tweeted "Best summer ever," with a zoomed-in shot of her VTuber design posted on 24 October.

On 25 October 2024, Sakuna's YouTube subscribers shot up from 61,000 to over 300,000. Three minutes prior to debut, she reached 500,000 YouTube subscribers.

On 27 October 2024 at 8PM JST, Yuki Sakuna held her debut stream as an independent VTuber. The stream reached a peak of 383,139 viewers, setting the #1 record for any independent VTuber stream, #1 most watched VTuber debut, and #3 most watched VTuber stream overall after the graduation streams of corporate VTubers Minato Aqua and Kiryu Coco. Her channel reached over 600,000 subscribers by the end of the stream.

It was followed by the release of a cover of the Orangestar song Henceforth.
