Although she gives off a vibe that makes her look cool and handsome, Ao is actually a scaredy-cat on the inside, shrieking at the sight of scary things. She constantly calls her mother when she becomes too scared.

She has short, dark hair that's sort of a mullet with blue-ish streaks/highlights tied back into a small ponytail and blue eyes. She wears a grey pinstripe suit over a black shirt with a gold chain.
Background
hololive DEV_IS was initially teased during the conclusion of hololive's SPLASH PARTY! Night concert with a short video on 27 August 2023. The teaser was also shared later that day on both hololive's Twitter account and hololive DEV_IS YouTube channel on 27 August 2023. The channel itself was created on 21 August.
On 29 August 2023, following the YouTube channel released short videos of the members in a countdown leading to the project's reveal. Ao's teaser was the first featuring a solo member of the group.
On 4 September, after finishing the countdown, hololive DEV_IS YouTube channel introduced the group ReGLOSS along with the music video "Shunkan Heartbeat", revealing the identities of all its members as well as their channels and social media accounts. Ao also made her first tweet on this date. Ao's teaser video from hololive DEV_IS channel was also uploaded to her personal channel, now fully displaying her face.

2023
On 10 September, Ao reached 100,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.
On 17 September, she released her first solo cover song "Dokuzu" by NAKISO.
On 29 September, she celebrated her YouTube channel monetization and enabled Super Chat feature.
On 10 October, Ao had her first collaboration cover along with ReGLOSS, the song "REALiZE" by LiSA.

Retirement
On 3 October, COVER Corp released a statement on its Twitter account that Ao would be graduating on the same day. Her YouTube membership and exclusive content would close on 31 January 2026, fan letter would be accepted until 31 October 2025. This was followed by a statement from Ao on her Twitter.
On the day of the announcement, her YouTube channel reached 733,000 subscribers with over 106 million video views.
Events
- From 10 - 13 and from 15 - 22 December 2023, Ao was invited to join the Vaultroom x Crazy Raccoon (VCR) GTA Season 2 event server, joining the pizzeria run by Arurandeisu, as pizzeria staff (known in English as the "Pizza Family"). Among the staff, she was best known for providing a special "Champagne Call" service for an extra fee. Her uniform color was blue.
- On 9 December 2024, SWEETS PARADISE announced a collaboration café with -ReGLOSS-, including limited menus and merchandise. The collaboration would be available from 4 February 2025 to 16 March 2025 at 3 SWEETS PARADISE stores in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya.
- From 2 December - 12 December 2024, Ao participated in the VCR GTA Season 3 event server. Initially an entertainer who sung and danced to her own songs on the street, she aspired from the start to become a successful actress in-game. However, she temporarily became a small-time gangster following a "revelation from god," (server admin request) joining Tosaki Mimi, Yakumo Beni and Shirayuki Reid in the criminal group "Geki☆DAN" (激☆DAN); after a brief stint as a criminal, she left the group to work part-time at "22Hz♪," a bar run by Zuzu where she sang, danced and performed her signature "Champagne Call." It was at this point that she and Ano Miharu got invited by Aragami Oga to star in his original short film "-Nothing-". On 11 December, this film starring Ao as main character, Miharu as her co-star and Oga providing narration, was shown to the server's entire playerbase in a screening at an in-game theater.
