Cecilia is an intelligent streamer with a straightforward attitude. She can be stubborn and combative, and often uses sarcasm. She sometimes likes to trick her collab partners, but only in good fun. Her goal is to entertain her viewers.

She is exceptionally creative, and is known for programming unique "Immersions" in streams, whether shrinking her height to match the protagonist in Legend of Zelda, greenscreening herself into the game, or coding her own chat-controlled minigames. She is also noted for her musical talent, and plays violin well.

She is good friends with Gigi Murin, and the two form a comedic pair with Cecilia serving as the foil. Sometimes they're more like partners in crime.

Appearance

Cecilia is a clockwork automaton maiden. Her body is doll-jointed, and atop her head is a brass ribbon and clockwork key, which spins when she is excited. She has green eyes, and pale white-green neck-length hair. Her customary garb is an elaborate gold-trimmed off-shoulder dress with a red neckerchief, off-white sleeves and a green skirt decorated with musical notes and a clockwork motif. She wears sandals on her feet which give an ancient feel.

She is sometimes be seen wielding a white lance which transforms into a violin.

Background

Cecilia first learned of hololive through the infamous Natsuiro Matsuri 2019 band-aid clip. She has been a VTuber fan ever since. She followed hololive English since the first generation, and entered Mori Calliope's remix competition in 2020.

She applied to hololive on two occasions before being successful. In a multi-stage audition process, she was exceptionally nervous at the second stage, where she prepared a stream event. She describes it as a "very very silly" role-play event where she abducted staff. It was 4 am at her time, so she spent ten minutes dancing and spinning around for ten minutes to wake up and hype herself up.

Cecilia's YouTube account was created on 3 April 2024. Her Twitter account was registered in the same month.

Cecilia was announced as one of four members of hololive English -Justice- on 18 June 2024 in a video titled The Mission Begins! Cecilia made her debut Tweet shortly after. This was followed by a short profile video, titled [https://youtu.be/tbieD_vOfO4 Let this ensemble begin! 🎶 #holoJustice]

The announcement of hololive English fourth generation took most of the VTuber community by surprise. The previous English generation, Advent, had debuted less than a year earlier, and Cover's last quarterly report had suggested a strategy of less frequent VTuber debuts. The names of the new members had been leaked by trademark registration a few hours prior to their official announcement.

Prior to debut, the members of Justice recorded an audio series of "missions" where they visited a shrine to wish for a successful debut, visited a haunted house, visited a maid cafe, and met with FUWAMOCO for advice. The clips would not be released until December 2024.

Cecilia reached 100,000 YouTube subscribers prior to her debut.

Debut

Cecilia made her debut stream on 22 June 2024 at 8PM PDT. It featured a Twitch Plays Pokémon style chat-controlled game which she coded herself, and a violin performance featuring "Run" from Spice and Wolf and "A Beautiful Song" from NieR: Automata. The stream reached over 112,000 viewers at peak.

It was followed by a song cover premiere of Forgotten Words.

The Justice debut event concluded with the release of their first original single, ABOVE BELOW, and the first Justice collab on 22 June at 9:30 PM PDT.

Mascot and fans

Otomo
  • Her fan name is called Otomo/Otomos. Raora helped her design the mascot, which previously appeared in her Starting Soon screen carrying the teapot.
  • Otomo is a pun on "oto," Japanese for "musical note," and "tomo," Japanese for "friend." It's also a pun on "automaton."
  • On 9 August 2025, Otomo debuted its 3D model.
  • Cecilia was the last Justice member to select her fan name, as she wanted fans to help her come up with good ideas. "Otomo" was selected with 49% of the vote. Popular but unused suggestions for her fan name were Cranks, Immerlings, Immeralds, Automates, and Treblemakers.
  • She created the otomos to assist her with chores.

  • There is also a blonde variant who appeared as a barmaid on Oktoberfest, named Cecilia Immergold.
  • For Oktoberfest 2025, she debuted the Cecilia Immergold Bot, which she built because she doesn't like to work. It is an AI-powered bot.
  • She claims to have an assistant named Updatilia who posts to her social media when she should be asleep, or busy doing other things. Updatilia finally made an appearance in April 2025's Taxlady does your taxes, where she looks much like Cecilia but with a silver color theme.
  • Cecilia has a small spare doll body, but it lacks opposable thumbs.
  • Cecilia is often depicted as having known Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame since the latter was young, and even serving as her maid. For example, at the start of the music video for Cecilia's song Wind-Up, a girl appears wearing a bracelet matching one of Elizabeth's insignias. However, this is not necessarily canon.

  • She is only the second ever green member of hololive English, after Ceres Fauna.
  • Her bracelets and the large gear on her dress are engraved with an unknown script. The bracelets are mirror images of each other. The large gear is written such that it has rotational symmetry, so it would read the same if turned 180 degrees.

Cecilia Immergreen is an Ancient Automaton, with a penchant for flowers, tea, and creating music.

Crafted during ancient times, Cecilia was originally made to be dedicated to eternal servitude. Yet in recent times, she began slacking off on her work, lazily cooking mostly potatoes along with whatever else she found in the kitchen. She has now all but abandoned her duties, doing the bare minimum and mostly immersing herself in her various crafty hobbies.

With newfound interests in life, she takes on every new experience with the pure curiosity of a young girl.

2024

On 24 June, Cecilia reached 200,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.

On 7 July, she celebrated her YouTube channel monetization and enabled Super Chat feature.

On 28 July, Cecilia's channel was open for Memberships.

On 29 August, Cecilia reached 300,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.

On 31 August, as part of the ENigmatic Recollection project, hololive English members debuted a new accessory for their main 2D costumes. They wear the white and blue cloaks first seen in the project's introduction video and related concept art. The cloak includes a blue gem containing a symbol that represents their affiliated guilds.

2025

On 1 January, Cecilia debuted her new year costume. It features a long-sleeved mint green kimono with a diamond pattern, with both the outfit and hair rigged by Cecilia herself. The kimono features cog wheels and pink and red roses, crossed black straps under a red diamond-pattern decorated with a golden cog and a ruby jewel, and holding a white in place. The bottom of her kimono has a diagonal cut revealing a layered, frilled white section, similar to the edge of the sleeves, and matching white shoes, gloves, and white umbrella. Her hair is in buns with short red ribbons and a decorated with two large green flowers and five small white flowers.

On 14 March, Cecilia reached 400,000 subscribers on YouTube.

On 16 June, hololive announced -Justice- would receive 3D models in August.

On 9 August, Cecilia debuted her 3D model on YouTube. The model allows her to remove her skirt for action scenes, and includes a 3D model for her violin. This was followed by the release of her first original song, Wind-Up, for which she both composed the melody and wrote the lyrics herself.

On 23 August, -Justice- debuted their hololive 6th fes. Color Rise Harmony 3D idol costumes during the first day of hololive English 3rd concert "All for One."

On 25 October, Cecilia debuted a new bot version of herself called ImmerGold.

On 1 November, Cecilia debuted a new accessory for her main costume. Cecilia wears a green cape with gold musical notes and Otomos as decorations.
