Lore
Maruga Jakoji grew up in a small village nestled in the lush green mountains. From a young age, he was drawn to the color green, finding solace and peace in its calming presence. As he grew older, Maruga discovered his love for video games, particularly the Persona series along with Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors games. Immersing himself in these virtual worlds provided an escape from the struggles of daily life.
Despite his deep connection to technology and fantasy realms, Maruga remained grounded by his appreciation for nature and its vibrant hues of green. He often found inspiration for his own creative pursuits while exploring the forests surrounding his village. The combination of his love for both nature and gaming made him a unique individual with a passion for blending reality with fiction. In every battle fought within the digital world or under the canopy of trees that sheltered Maruga's home, he found strength in knowing that there was always more to discover beyond what meets the eye. On 30 June he released his original song, Rise Again.
On 9 September, he streamed on YouTube as Maruga Jakoji.
2025
On 22 May, he released a debut PV.
On 8 July, he changed his Twitch channel name to marugajakoji1996.
On 12 July, he announced his upcoming official debut for 14 July, although he instead debuted on 12 July at the suggestion of friend Eisei Tsukimaru. The VOD was uploaded to YouTube. His plan was to stream on Twitch, four days a week for the remainder of summer.
On 28 July, Maruga became the Head of the Table, that being what Roman Reigns once was before he became the Only Tribal Chief in the WWE. Maruga started his own Bloodline arc, prior to the beginning of August.
In August, Maruga Jakoji announced his collaboration with CutieHedgie on Twitch, scheduled 26 August. The collab was cancelled due to a vacation from 2 to 23 August. He is in talks with more collaborators, including Reina Takahara and Zarien Romalea.
On 8 September, Maruga replaced D&D with Ghost of Tsushima after being kicked out of his Dungeons & Dragons group.
On 9 September, he announced the return of his pre-debut tradition of Horror Game Month.
On 24 September, Maruga returned to streaming 7 days a week for the Fall, Winter, and Summer seasons.

Maruga announced plans to stream daily on YouTube in 2026.
On 13 January, Maruga left Aegisus Group and went back to being independent.
On 6 February, Maruga set up The Rise of the Phoenix Prince arc on YouTube during his inaugural subathon. In just 2 days into the subathon, Maruga uploaded a total of 11 videos to his YouTube channel.

* He is a voice over actor in real life, by the name of his creator: Timothy Rowland (born as Elric Atchison), born on 1 March 1996 in San Jose, California. Rowland explained on his social media accounts that Maruga doesn't share the same birthday as his creator.
* Rowland has been in voice over field since 16 July 2008 while he was 12 years old and his creator is a creator of worlds of the audio quality and alike to Michaela Laws, who is known for creating content in the visual quality.
* Rowland is of Irish, Portuguese, French, Dutch, Danish, and Swedish descent; predominantly Irish.
